I'm back

Hey, I know I've been away from my blog for a while now but it's time to say a few more things. I would like to start by congratulating my friend and fellow blogger Ackie she is going places. I just tumbled upon this post on her fashion blog:

http://ackiekingdomrags.blogspot.com/2012/09/im-on-news-paper.html?showComment=1346761620604#c5864927314604398870

Congrats! Now the picture above is one of my latest work :) it's two creatures; a bird and a fish stranded in the middle of.. nowhere. The bird Bobo is using his drinking water to cool down his scorched friend (whom I haven't named). Needless to say I enjoy Angry Birds a lot but this designed wasn't really motivated by that. I've always liked a good and nicely illustrated cartoon bird like Tweety Bird. I'll keep you posted when I have something new to share.

Speaking of new things I'm working on a series of comic strips, the project is looking AMAZING. Once the client publishes it I'll get the links and stuff for you to see. Thank you for dropping in :)

The Last Devil's Bride

Greetings, I've been working on a graphic novel called "The Last Devil's Bride" it's looking good so far. Ive just recently uploaded some of the sample pages. The silhouette style works really well and I won't reveal the storyline just yet.

So far all the artwork I've done for the Graphic Novel is "dark" and bloody. It's hard to create your own style in today's art industry but that's the angle I'm aiming for. Scars, silhouettes, stitches, blood and a heavy storyline.

Feel free to follow me on twitter @totally2d and visit my website www.totally2d.org or my Youtube account www.youtube.com/totally2d

I'll keep you all posted when the project is complete :) thank you for visiting my Blog.

Crazytalk Animator templates

Hey.. I've been working on some new stuff since the year begun! I've opened a store on Reallusion's website where Crazytalk Animator users can purchase my content packs and background designs! The store also has a few freebies to try out if you're intrested

 http://city.reallusion.com/store/Totally2d

One of the first content packs I put in my Store was a theme pack I call War Angel 1st Edition. It includes the gun above, the helmet below, and other military weapons like a Jet fighter etc.

The other content pack I made was these buildings below. Each of the buildings can be purchased in my online store along with other stuff

For those that need car props for your high speed chases and action scenes, I've also created the model below which can be used in Crazytalk Animator v1.2. Just Download it from my store and let the drive begin.

After I finished War Angel 1st Edition, i recently went on to create War Angel 2nd Edition which has swords, and other sharp instruments of death. Great props for a battle scene. As you can see my store intends to provide a wide selection of content for Crazytalk Animator users. Visit my store and just browse through the items there

African sun (templates for 2d animators)

  Hey!

I hope you're having a wonderful day. I’m currently working on a Crazytalk Animator Backgrounds collection of 2d animation templates called “African sun”. The first edition is finished and I’ve attached some of the promotional images below.

The backgrounds will be soon available on the Reallusion Market place, once my store is running I’ll post up the linkJ. Like I said before the African sun has 8 backgrounds. I’m working on more Crazytalk Animator content that you’ll be able to use alongside with these backgrounds.

As of now the backgrounds will be able to be used royalty free once you purchase them on the upcoming store. I hope to fill the market with alien templates, city, villages and other vast templates.

I have great plans for the African sun collection. I pray to God things keep coming together.

Eat.sleep.animate

Hey... I've really enjoyed my CrazyTalk animator contest experience. I'll continue to find ways to fine tune my animations until I reach my highest potential :D but for now I have these new images to share.

The image on the top is from a future project I'm hoping to work on ASAP! Being an Angry Birds fan on Friday I drew up the image above. That game's AMAZING! after I scanned it into my machine I coloured it in pencil. I kept the original and uncoloured scan so that I can properly colour it in photoshop.

In the past month I.ve been trying out a new software called CrazyTalk animator. Here is my latest animation from it:

Enjoy you day, and feel free to share the video around.

Hot Stuff : Episode 01

I'm really enjoying the production of Hot stuff mini skits. Above you'll find the first episode, and I'm done with the next script for it. My 3rd episode will feature something from the 2011 Rugby World Cup! However I still have to do the 2nd episode before we get into that! Cisca De Villiers even helped me co-direct a scene from episode 3 which will be spoken in her first language; Afrikaans.

Usually I upload a "Friday drawing" but I thought this would be so much more fun, hope you enjoyed the episode!

Crazy Talk Animator

So far I've been fighting several obstacles in the production of my animation mini series "Hooked Alive". Alas, I seem to have made some progress. Less than 15 days ago I stumbled upon Crazy Talk animator. Its a 2d animation software that you can try out for yourself, and from what I'm seeing its good features I could have only dreamt about!

I recommend any aspiring animators to Download Crazy Talk Animator trial now, and try it out. You might surprise yourself, soon my website will have some Crazy Talk Animator templates for you to try out including the one above; Martin, from my Hooked Alive cast. So now I have the script written out, and all the characters designed I just need to add the full version of Crazy Talk Animator.

Crazy Talk Animator has a function where you could just import an image (as shown above) and use that one image to start animating! You'll be impressed, I know I was. There also have several step by step Youtube videos on how their software package works watch it now!

I'm an animator, and I love it! However somedays you really struggle to push your productions, most days its hard, and during those rainy days. Can your software give you the tools that are effective, and powerful enough  for you to pull through the millions of frames needed? Visit my website http://www.totally2d.org/ and see the full range of animation softwares that I trust and use! Crazy talk Animator is a product you might also want to try out, my favourite feature is the Body pupperteering where you animate by moving your mouse!

Their product has a wide a range of feature PLUS you tube videos, to make your life easier. Enjoy the accesories panel, and facial animation tools. This would be brilliant to use in my future productions!

Enjoy your day! Wish me luck, as a continue progressing in all my art, photography, and animation projects :) CHEERS!
